Tom Briant Mineral Collection
My name is Tom Briant and I have been collecting fossils and minerals for 45 years. I started collecting in the mid Fifties, collecting mainly fossils to start with. By the end of the Sixties I had upward of three thousand specimens, most of which I collected myself.
In the Seventies I moved to a smaller house and had to sell my fossil collection, so I then started to concentrate on minerals, mostly quartz specimens which I slowly built up to about seven hundred specimens.
As I have reached my 75th birthday I have decided to sell them as none of my family share my passion.
